The Noble Vernacular – Primitivist retentions in architectural discourse
Dr Marcel Vellinga will be exploring the ideas, assumptions and value judgements that underlie the assumption that vernacular architecture is represented as a more sustainable alternative, or at least predecessor, to contemporary built environments.
Dr Vellinga is Director of the International Vernacular Architecture Unit at Oxford Brookes University and Co-Director of the Paul Oliver Vernacular Architecture Library.
Please RSVP to Clair Keleher by Monday 14 September (contact details on the web page).
