Architecture Is the Silent Homologous Gravitational Mass that Absorbs Every Meaningful Production.
For ‘Mis-design’ at the Potter, Adam Kalkin will run the Adam Kalkin Tennis Academy, a functioning tennis court in the ground north gallery, action-packed with physical and mental training programs. This month, the VCA constructed and installed the Kalkin-designed Pop-up Pirate Radio Station in its Southbank courtyard. It’s made from a shipping container turned on its end.
Adam Kalkin’s work has been exhibited recently at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Venice Biennale, Art Basel Miami and Deitch Projects. He lives in Paris, New York and New Jersey.
