The University of Queensland’s (UQ) annual Summer Exhibition, hosted by the School of Architecture was officially opened on Thursday 24 November.
The Summer Exhibition showcases student work from all years of the Bachelor of Architecture and Master of Architecture courses, which is exhibited throughout UQ’s Zelman Cowen Building (Building 51).
This year, the theme of the exhibition ‘Transforming the Everyday’ aims to draw attention to the poetics of everyday life, spaces and buildings.
The theme of the event is reflected through the title ‘In/Trans/Re/Form,’ which has been incorporated throughout the exhibit via use of logos and signage graphics designed by local architectural firm Studio MITT.
The free exhibition is open on weekdays between 9am to 5pm until 9 December 2011.
